Biography
Dr. Rachel N. Thomas (she/her) specializes in Educational Psychology, with an emphasis in human development. She shares her growing expertise through teaching, and has taught at Ball State University (Muncie, IN, USA), Ivy Tech Community College (IN, USA), and is currently serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Hanover College (Hanover, IN, USA). Dr. Thomas has experience teaching in a variety of course modalities, including in-person, online, and hybrid/hy-flex. In 2020, Dr. Thomas' teaching was recognized as excellent by Ball State University and the regional organization for graduate schools (Midwestern Association for Graduate Schools; mags-net.org/excellence-in-teaching-award/).
Dr. Thomas' teaching is informed by her research, which is often transformative and aimed at actionable implications. Much of her work can be situated within an eclectic framework drawing from cross-cultural, social, and developmental psychological traditions.
